A TOTAL of 20 meat hampers have been delivered to struggling families in south Birmingham, thanks to a community link-up.
Geraghty’s Butcher’s teamed up with former Longbridge councillor Andy Cartwright and Gemma Cartwright MBE from Pride of Longbridge.
They worked closely to ensure no children in the community went without presents this Christmas and that they could all enjoy a festive feast on Christmas Day.
Sainsbury’s Longbridge supplied the vegetables and Fit4Sport delivered the hampers.
Gemma told the Standard: “This is the eighth year we have done this for the community, it was great to see everyone pull together to help those in need.”
