Changes to bus and train services across Bromsgrove and Birmingham over Christmas

PUBLIC transport operators will be implementing amended timetables over Christmas so travellers are urged to check the times of their buses and trains before they travel.

Rail services

On Christmas Eve, there will be changes to both the Cross City Line and the Birmingham to Hereford line, via Bromsgrove, Droitwich, Malvern and Worcester.

The last trains from Birmingham New Street will leave for Bromsgrove at 7.53pm and for Redditch it is 7.43pm.

The last trains to Droitwich, Malvern Link, Great Malvern and Worcester leave Birmingham New Street at 6.20pm.

The last trains to Birmingham New Street will leave Bromsgrove at 8.29pm and Redditch at 8.31pm.




The last train to Birmingham leaves Great Malvern at 6.12pm, Malvern Link at 6.15pm, Worcester Foregate Street at 6.24pm and Droitwich Spa at 6.33pm.

There will be no West Midlands Railway services on Christmas Day or Boxing Day.


Bus services

First Worcester

The 144 (Worcester to Bromsgrove, via Droitwich), the Worcester services – 28, 32, 34, 44, the X44 (Worcester to Malvern) and X50 (Worcester to Pershore and Evesham) will operate a Saturday timetable.

The Worcester services – 27 and 36, 310, 311, 313, 315 – will operate the usual Monday to Friday timetable.

Also operating the Monday to Friday schedule are – 316 (Worcester to Hanley Broadheath), 315 (Worcester to Lower Broadheath), the 363 (Worcester to Upton), 417 (Worcester to Ledbury), 420 (Worcester to Bromyard) and the 675 (Malvern to Ledbury).

The Worcester services – 30, 31/31A, 35/35A, 38/X38 and 153 – will operate special timetables.

Diamond Bus

On Christmas Eve, most services – including Bromsgrove, Redditch and Kidderminster – will operate a Saturday service.

The 182 and 183 (operating between Bromsgrove and Redditch) will operate a normal weekday service, as will the 580 (Kidderminster to Kinver).

There will be no Diamond buses on Christmas Day.

The only Diamond Buses operating on Boxing Day will be the Redditch Circulars – 11, 51, 57, 58.

NX West Midlands

Most routes will operate a Saturday service, including the 20 between Bromsgrove and the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

There will be no services on Christmas Day.

On Boxing Day, there will be an amended Sunday service.
