CHRISTMAS for me, as Chair, is particularly wonderful as I get to experience all the festive events which we have across our district.
I meet all the people who give their time, often for free, to create a Christmassy feel for our residents.
In my role and working closely with my chosen charity Age UK throughout the year.
I also meet those people who are dedicated to making sure our more vulnerable residents are safe and well.
Christmas is a time for giving so please look in on friends, family and neighbours who may be alone at this time.
A kind word or friendly face can make a huge difference.
I also want to thank those people who will be working this Christmas, keeping us safe and sound.
And for those who find this time of year difficult, my thoughts are with you too.
However you are spending the festive season, please take care, stay safe and enjoy it.
