AMIDST the hustle and bustle which Christmas time brings, it’s also a great period to reflect on the past year – and of course the New Year to come.
This year has seen a lot of change and I am delighted that once again, by working together, this council has remained resilient and indeed has seen successes.
Not only have we seen the works to upgrade High Street and Church Street but the foundations have also been laid for the redevelopment of the former market hall site.
I look forward to seeing this progress in 2025 along with our ongoing commitment to working with our centres and creating a collaborative approach to providing a Better Bromsgrove which benefits everyone.
We also continue to work with partners to provide support to our more vulnerable residents who are amongst those who face difficulties at this time of year.
As the festive season unfolds I urge you to not only enjoy time spent with loved ones but to spare a few moments to say Merry Christmas to friends and neighbours who may be alone.
Most of all I want to wish a very Merry Christmas to all of our residents and businesses and every happiness for 2025.
Enjoy each other.
Coun Karen May
Bromsgrove District Council leader
