THIS YEAR’S Bromsgrove Santa Sleigh routes have been officially announced so residents can find out when the man in the big red suit will be visiting their street.
Last year, after the Round Table was unable to continue the long-standing tradition, the scheme was in jeopardy.
But, thanks to Bromsgrove Rovers AFC, Bromsgrove Logistics and the town’s Ladies’ Circle stepping in, it was able to continue – much to the delight of families across the district.
Santa’s routes across the district
Father Christmas will start his tour of the district on December 2 when the man in the big red suit will go to Harwood Park and Rutherford Road. Then on December 5, he will be in Deansway, Hilltop and Breakback Road.
Next up, Santa will be in Willow Road, Carol Avenue and Sidemoor on December 6 and in Stoke Heath on December 7.
On December 8, the sleigh heads to Charford, on December 9 it will be in Stoke Prior and Forelands.
Pennine Road, Lea Park Rise and Barnsley Hall will get a visit from Father Christmas on December 10 and he will then visit Breme Park on December 12 and be at Asda on December 14.
Santa’s destinations on December 15 will be The Oakalls and Parklands estates before he journeys to Blackwood Road, Fordhouse, Bant Mill and Forelands on December 19.
Then with five days to go until the big day, Father Christmas will be in Townsend Avenue and Norton Farm on December 20, at Morrisons, Bromsgrove, on December 21, and his final visits – on December 22 – will be to Perryfields, Orchards Road, Beech Road and Churchfields.
Father Christmas will be out and about between 6pm and 8pm on the stated days. He will also be collecting donations for good causes.
All revenue generated will go to Bromsgrove good causes, including The Basement Project, Sidemoor Community Project and the Primrose Hospice (further causes are set to be announced).
An initial fundraising target of £1,000 has been set – click here to visit the fundraising page.
