BROMSGROVE Sporting manager Paul Smith has resigned from his post.
In a statement before today’s match, the club’s chairman Rod Brown made a statement on the club’s website.
In it he said: “It is with great regret that the club has accepted Paul’s resignation.
“Paul and I have been talking over the last few days about his own situation and his honesty regarding where his focus and priorities must be.
“I know how much this club means to him.
“Everyone, from the board and fans will, I’m sure, wish him well personally.
“We shall now start the process of identifying the right person to join us, who will understand the project and the challenges that go with being a sustainable club for the future.”
Smith was in his second tenure with the club and the last time out, he secured consecutive promotions.
But things have not gone to plan and The Rouslers have found themselves embroiled in a relegation battle this season.
