BROMSGROVE RFC continued their scintillating form with a 10-try 64-19 win against Derby.
The Boars eased to a fifth consecutive victory as Jordan Maddocks and Josh Holt both crossed twice while Jamie Constantine, Rich Hance, George Amphlett, Al Murray, Oliver Ingram and Will Parkes all dotted down at Finstall Park.
And the result means Bromsgrove sit second in the Regional 1 Midlands table, two points behind leaders Syston.
The Boars were without four regular starting players and handed a debut to 18-year-old Bobby King from the bench who captained the academy last season.
Bromsgrove made a blistering start and scored five tries in the opening 18 minutes as Constantine, Hance, Maddocks, Holt and Amphlett touched down all converted by Will Tanner.
Derby responded with a try of their own only for the Boars to cross for three further unconverted tries courtesy of Maddocks, Holt and Murray as Bromsgrove went into the break with a commanding 45-point lead.
The home side took their foot of the gas after the interval but still crossed for two more scores as Ingram and Parkes both dotted down to take Bromsgrove’s tally for the game to 10 tries.
Derby touched down two tries of their own in the second half but failed to secure a try bonus point before the final whistle sounded.
Bromsgrove are next in action against Dudley Kingswinford on Saturday, November 9 with kick-off at 2pm at Swindon Road.
