BROMSGROVE RFC claimed a maiden win against Silhillians with a dominant 10-try 60-13 victory in the first-ever meeting between the two clubs.

Tom Sadler scored a third hat-trick in as many games while Will Harris crossed twice with further tries from James Gunther, Oliver Ingram, Rich Hance, George Amphlett and Will Tanner at Warwick Road.

The result means Bromsgrove sit third in the Regional 1 Midlands table, two points behind early leaders Syston.

After a frantic start, Harris scored a pair of quickfire tries to put the Boars in command, both converted by Tanner as Silhillians responded with two successful penalty attempts.

However, Gunther and Sadler both crossed before the break to earn the Boars a bonus point as Bromsgrove took a 20-point lead into the second period.

And the visitors crossed six times in the second half as Ingram, Hance, Amphlett and Tanner all dotted down while the latter also kicked two conversions in windy conditions.

Sadler touched down twice more to complete his hat-trick to move on to 11 tries for the season after just five matches.

Silhillians scored a consolation try but it proved too little too late as the Boars scored 60 points or more for the third game in a row.

Bromsgrove are next in action against Burton on Saturday, October 19 with kick-off at 3pm at Battlestead Croft.
