A NEW gym-wear brand based in Bromsgrove is celebrating a global award win for its innovative product design.
Fitness clothing brand, PADA, has been named as a finalist of the EVA Awards in the new business category – just a year after launching in the industry.
The company’s knee-padded leggings are the brainchild of founder Hannah Burton, who was inspired by her personal struggle with knee pain during pregnancy, hindering her return to her beloved yoga routine.
Off the back of this, she created the product with a high-density PU foam insert. They offer comfort and support during yoga, pilates and various other workouts.
“We’re the first in the UK to focus on knee protection through built-in knee pads in all our leggings, and our goal is to make fitness accessible and enjoyable for everyone,” said Hannah.
The brand’s story is deeply personal for Hannah who launched PADA after struggling with post-natal depression during the Covid-19 lockdown.
A yoga teacher and fitness enthusiast, she was eager to return to her practice but found joint discomfort caused by body changes post-pregnancy to be a major barrier.
This led her to create PADA, which began with the simple idea of stitching bra pads into leggings.
The brand has since evolved into a standout in the active wear space, offering unparalleled comfort and support for fitness lovers of all levels.
Hannah said: “From a personal need to a finalist in these prestigious awards, it’s been an incredible journey.
“Our leggings offer more than just aesthetic appeal – they prioritise the health and comfort of our customers in a way that hasn’t been seen before in the industry.”
