Care home to thank blue light workers with breakfast

Bromsgrove Editorial 31st Aug, 2024   0

A CARE home in Bromsgrove is giving blue light workers a morning lift in celebration of Emergency Services Day, writes Jessica Radford.

From 8am- 10am, Monday September 9, the team at Care UK’s Chandler Court, on Recreation Road, is inviting local blue light workers to stop by the home’s cafe for breakfast as a thanks for their hard work, and in celebration of Emergency Services Day.

The home will be welcoming those who continue to play a vital role in society through some tasty treats such as croissants, baps and pastries, whipped up by Head Chef, Alex Millichamp.

Residents are looking forward to spending time with the VIP visitors and are particularly excited to chat about their line of work.

Lilly Dahms, Home Manager at Chandler Court, said: “The work that blue light workers do in the community is extremely valuable, and in celebration of Emergency Services Day we wanted to do something special to show our appreciation.

“Our drop-in cafe is an excellent opportunity to learn about members of the community who work in these roles, and we hope to put a smile on their faces.”
