Rubery Festival returns this Sunday all for a good cause

Bromsgrove Editorial 30th Aug, 2024   0

THE ANNUAL Rubery Festival returns this Sunday, September 1, and there will be plenty of fun for all the family.

The event, which is free to enter and also raises funds for good causes, will start at midday with a parade from the Rubery Memorial Club to St Chad’s Park.

In the arena, there will be a live music stage, featuring top award-winning singers and other entertainment.

Among them are the Lady and the Sax, the Bhangra Mashup, Anna from Frozen and Rapunzel, courtesy of Sapphire Entertainment’s Charlie Thompson, Jasmine Nicholson, The Roberts Family and many more.

There will also be a charity tabletop sale, tombola, children’s rides, face-painting, pony rides, a classic car display, food and drink.

Organiser Tony Maslen said he hoped the event would raise plenty of cash for charity and beat last year’s impressive £1,900 total.
