THE FAMILY of a man who died after he was attacked by dogs in Frankley have paid tribute to him.

Nicholas Glass, 32, was found dead in the garden of a relative’s property in Hereford Close in the early hours of last Wednesday.

A post-mortem revealed he had died from injuries consistent with having been bitten by a dog.

Police believe up to four dogs were present when he was attacked – two were seized by police after the incident and the other pair were found in Merritts Hill, Northfield two days later.

Enquiries are continuing into Nicholas’ death and all four dogs remain in West Midlands Police’s secure kennels.

Tests have now discovered two of the dogs were XL Bullies – a breed banned in the UK. They also found out neither had a certificate of exemption.

His family said today: “In Nicholas we’ve lost a loving son, brother and uncle who was adored by all of his family and friends.

“He was kind hearted, caring and compassionate and he’d do anything for anyone. We are devastated at his loss and we all miss him desperately.”
