THERE was a lucky escape when a car crashed through the shop front of Harrisons in Rubery.
Police and West Midlands Ambulance Service attended and an area of New Road was cordoned off following the incident on Tuesday afternoon.
The driver of the car and a woman who was in the shop were checked over by paramedics and discharged at the scene.
The car was removed and was taken off on a recovery lorry.
An employee confirmed to the Standard today that all staff members were fine and the store is now back open.
