Police appeal for witnesses after man dies in Bromsgrove crash

POLICE are appealing for witnesses following a fatal crash in Bromsgrove this morning.

The collision happened around 11.15am when a white BMW 318d hit a lamp post and overturned on the A448, Kidderminster Road near to the junction with Whitford Gardens.

The car left the carriage way before colliding with a lamp post and being overturned.

The driver, man in his 50s, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officers would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision or who has dashcam footage of the car involved in the moments before.

West Midlands Ambulance Service sent two ambulances, a paramedic officer and a MERIT trauma doctor with a critical care paramedic to the scene.




A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said the man was in a critical condition when its crews arrived.

“Ambulance staff immediately began administering advanced life support but sadly, despite their best efforts, it became apparent nothing could be done to save him and he was confirmed dead at the scene.”
