BROMSGROVE Sporting’s executive board have confirmed the appointment of Phil Yates as commercial director.
Yates previously held senior managing director roles at EH Smith and Ibstock.
And Bromsgrove chairman Rod Brown welcomed Yates to the club and hopes his appointment will strengthen Sporting’s ties with the local community.
Brown said: “I have been talking with Phil for quite a while, trying to recruit him to our project.
“We identified his extensive skillsets from having senior managing director roles at major companies such as EH Smith and Ibstock.
“In addition, he also has a great passion for the club, supporting the Rouslers from the terraces.
“As we continue to build the club, both in terms of the board and the team, I am sure Phil will help us achieve our goal to be an integral hub of the local community.”
Yates added: “I’m looking forward to working with the board and commercial team to help the club I love move forward. I cannot wait to get started.”
