THE Conservatives’ parliamentary candidate for Bromsgrove has officially launched his election campaign with a vision for improved ‘community values’ and a ‘commitment to progress’.
Bradley Thomas outlined his campaign’s core priorities during a speech to fellow members of the Conservative Party on Saturday, June 1.
The former Wychavon District Council leader’s campaign focuses on tackling antisocial behaviour, protecting greenbelt land, securing a robust local economy, investing in health and social care services, and driving high productivity and high employment.
Mr Thomas believes in building the right houses, in the right places to preserve green spaces while meeting the needs of Bromsgrove’s growing community.
He said: “Our greenbelt is a vital part of our heritage and natural beauty.”
Bradley is also intend on creating an environment for residents to feel safe in their community.
“I will work tirelessly to implement effective measures to reduce antisocial behaviour, ensuring our streets and neighbourhoods are safe for everyone.” He added.
The candidate also plans to support local business and attract new investments into the town.
“I will advocate for policies that foster economic growth, support small businesses, and create job opportunities. This includes business rate reform to support all business, including small and independent retailers in our town centres,” said Bradley Thomas.
To support the NHS in successfully fulfilling its ‘critical role’, Bradley intents to fight for ensuring these services receive the necessary help.
He added: “Our NHS and social care services are the bedrock of our community’s well-being. I will fight to ensure that these services receive the support they need to provide high-quality care to everyone, especially the most vulnerable.”
And lastly, Bradley believes in delivering ‘better opportunities’ to equip local people with skills to secure ‘well-paid local employment.’
Bradley said: “Employment is more than just a job; it is the foundation of a stable and fulfilling life. By promoting skills training and innovation, we can drive economic progress and improve the quality of life for all.”
