Kick-off for Bromsgrove firm's charity football match in support of motor neurone disease

A BROMSGROVE firm is set to host a charity football match in Redditch to raise funds for Motor Neurone Disease.

The financial planning company, AFH Wealth Management, is inviting residents to attend the match on Saturday, June 22 at the Valley Stadium – home of Redditch United Football Club.

AFH is pitting its office-based employees against its team of financial advisers in the match, as well as organising a BBQ, bouncy castle, face-painting for the kids and a fully stocked bar.

Guests are welcome from 12 noon with kick-off at 1pm.

All of the proceeds raised on the day will be donated to Motor Neurone Disease Association (MNDA) which is AFH’s charity of the year.

MNDA, which focuses on improving access to care, research and campaign for people living with or affected by Motor Neurone Disease, was picked by AFH’s Millie Britton, whose mother Claire was sadly diagnosed in late 2020, shortly after her 50th birthday.

This year, Claire lost her life to this awful disease, so AFH are doing what they can to support MNDA in her memory.

AFH people engagement and experience Manager, Jenny Read, said: “We’re really looking forward to a fantastic day of sporting action, but even if football isn’t for you, there’s something for the whole family.

“This is bound to be a great day, supporting a great cause so please come along if you can.”

Tickets are £5, or a family ticket is £20 for five people. Visit https://tickets.mp/ZXZlbnQ6NDEwMg for more information.
