FIVE cannabis plants have been seized by police in Clent after a ‘suspicious’ vehicle was stopped.

Officers patrolling the Clent area in the early hours Sunday morning (April 7) noticed a grey Toyota Yaris with its headlights on but no regristration plates or working brake lights entering Clent Hills.

After following the car, the occupants dumped several items before accelerating off from officers.

When attempting to pull the car over, it continued to drive away before the it was eventually stopped.

Three officers then found five fully grown cannabis plants discarded on the road, which have now been seized and are awaiting destruction.

PC Clarke said: “The owner of the vehicle has been identified and enquiries will be conducted to locate the driver of the vehicle and occupants involved in this incident.

“West Mercia Police will not tolerate county lines drug dealing or dangerous driving in our force area.

“We will work with external agencies and neighbouring forces to tackle this crime and prevent any further offences.”
