BROMSGROVE Climate Action are calling for support with their campaign to lobby the town’s future MP to help fund the insulation of homes.
The Friends of the Earth hope Bromsgrove’s yet to be elected MP will support their bid to save energy, make bills cheaper and keep homes warmer in the future.
A stall was held on Bromsgrove high street on Saturday, March 30 in a bid to share the campaign and encourage people to sign up as members of the group.
Passers by stopped for chats with the environmentalists to discuss the recent removal of trees on the bypass and future removals planned on Stratford Road.
The group will be holding another stall in the future and are encouraging those interested to visit them for a chat.
A spokesperson for Bromsgrove Climate Action said: “Many joined after seeing the destruction of trees along the bypass and deciding they have had enough of these things happening after inadequate or no consultation, and are trying to prevent the felling of more in Stratford Rd. We are totally behind them.
“Do drop by for a chat.”
