A PAIR of quickfire goals before the break helped Bromsgrove Rovers AFC to a come-from-behind 3-1 win against Wake Green Amateur ‘B’.
Rovers secured a sixth successive league win thanks to goals from Keian Savage, Ash Pardoe and Ben Ellicott at South Bromsgrove High School.
And the result means Bromsgrove sit fifth in the Birmingham and District League Division Three table.
Wake Green took a shock lead on five minutes when Benjamin Hale finished off a rapid counter attack to put the strugglers ahead.
Rovers went in search of an equaliser as Pardoe’s effort hit the crossbar and bounced down onto the goalline before Wake Green cleared to safety.
However, the home side eventually drew level when teenager Savage scored for the third game in a row with a clever free-kick.
And Rovers completed the turnaround moments later as Pardoe sent a lob over the onrushing Wake Green goalkeeper just before half time.
The home side sealed the points late on when Ellicott went on a mazy run before finding the net as Rovers claimed a sixth straight win in the league.
Bromsgrove are next in action away at Claverdon on Saturday, March 16 in the semi-finals of the Intermediate Cup with kick-off at 2pm at Arrow Vale Sports and Leisure Centre.
