WEATHER WARNING - Met Office forecasts heavy rain and disruption across Bromsgrove, Rubery and Birmingham

A WEATHER warning is in place for heavy rain across Bromsgrove, Rubery and south Birmingham.

The yellow warning from the Met Office comes into force at 3pm today (Saturday) and will remain in place until 6pm tomorrow (Sunday).

There will be spells of rain during these times, some heavy and there is also forecast to be widespread disruption.

The main times for heavy rain will be from 8pm this evening, into the early hours of tomorrow. The chance of rain during these times will be around 60 per cent from 5pm, rising to more than 90 to 95 per cent from 8pm onwards.

Public transport users are warned bus and train journeys could take longer than expected.

Spray and flooding on roads will also cause issues for drivers.




People are urged to allow more time for their journeys.

The Met Office added flooding of some few homes and businesses was likely and there could be interruption to power supplies and other services.
