County businesses to vie for bragging rights at 2024 Tourism Awards

Bromsgrove Editorial 24th Jan, 2024 Updated: 30th Jan, 2024   0

THE COUNTY’S tourism awards will be underway soon commending the best of Worcestershire’s visitor economy.

Visit Worcestershire’s Tourism Awards will kick off on March 15 at Ombersley Court in Droitwich.

Over 60 businesses have been named finalists, across a range of categories including attractions, restaurants, hotels, pubs, self-catering accommodation and more.

Councillor Marc Bayliss, cabinet member for economy, infrastructure and skills at Worcestershire County Council, said: “Celebrating our tourism and hospitality sector is vastly important to recognise its importance to Worcestershire’s economy and to unleash it’s potential on a regional and national level.

“I wish all the finalists the best of luck and thank the Worcestershire business community for their support with the event.”

Bromsgrove based Fews Marquees will be showcasing their state-of-the-art Orangery in the grounds of Ombersley Court, where over 290 guests will enjoy the ceremony.

The Worcestershire theme continues with local producers, Piston Distillery, Astley Vineyard and Wagtail Retreat Vineyard providing welcome and table drinks for guests celebrating our ever-growing food and drink sector.

Plyvine Catering will be working on a locally sourced menu which is set to ignite tastebuds with Worcestershire produce.

Support for and from local suppliers does not stop here; Prestige Toilet Hire in Pershore are providing the necessary luxury wash room facilities with Peggy Sue’s Bars providing the bar service for the evening – including Worcestershire inspired cocktails.

Other sponsors include Mercian Events, The Wedding House, Destination Core, Sentino Hospitality, One Worcestershire, Worcestershire County Council, ArrangeMY Escape, Unmissable England, Worcestershire Ambassadors, Gemini Hospitality Group and Conteur.
