BROMSGROVE’S Butcher’s Block has made it through to the Birmingham Awards and needs Standard readers to help it win the competition.

The business – run by Lilith and Michelle Holsey-Sheppard – has been shortlisted in the ‘Independent Retailer’ category.

The awards ceremony takes place on November 4 at Villa Park but prior to that, there is a public vote.

Michelle said: “We are very excited and proud to be again recognised for how well we run our independent business.

“We like to think outside the box and be innovative with food while also keeping things affordable.”

Butcher’s Block is the first to bring a huge homemade gluten-free food selection to the town, along with beef Wellingtons and Scotch eggs.

Lilith added; “We don’t just want to sell people food, we want to give them an experience.”

Visit birminghamawards.co.uk and select Butcher’s Block Bromsgrove in the voting section to vote for Lilith and Michelle before the deadline next Monday, October 16.
