THE PRIMROSE Hospice and Family Support Centre has launched a new support service to help people in their own home.
The Primrose Hospice at Home is designed for patients already attending the day hospice who may wish to be additionally supported by the charity at home.
They will be providing personal, social and emotional support whilst maintaining a connection to other Primrose Hospice services.
Dawn White, the Primrose’s head of clinical services, said: “We’re so pleased to now be offering this vital support to our patients and their families and carers.
“We identified this type of support was missing in Bromsgrove and Redditch, so we wanted to ensure that our community were being supported in the best and most effective approach.
“Our trained staff are carrying out regular visits in patients’ homes to allow carers and families to get some much needed respite, whether that’s to do the shopping, attend appointments or simply to rest.”
The Primrose Hospice at Home service will be assessed daily by their clinical and wellbeing team, ensuring they are supporting patients depending on need and service capacity.
This service is only available for existing Primrose Hospice and Family Support Centre patients only and there is no charge to access this service.
