Two teens sent to young offenders institute after Hagley burglary

TWO TEENAGERS from Birmingham have been sentenced to time in a young offenders institute following a burglary and theft of a car.

The incident happened on April 10 when the pair broke into a residential property on Clent Drive in Hagley and stole two sets of car keys and a wallet.

They appeared at Worcester Crown Court after pleading guilty to burglary and theft of a motor vehicle.

Ismael Ilyas, 18, of Matlock Road in Birmingham was sentenced to 18 months in a youth offenders institute.

Mackenzie Bingham, also 18, of York Road, Kings Heath, Birmingham was sentenced to 12 months in a youth offenders institute, suspended for 18 months.

Two other teenagers, both boys who are 17 and cannot be named for legal reasons, have been given a youth rehabilitation order.
