A RUBERY litter picking volunteer group are calling for more helpers to support them during the towns upcoming festival.
Rubery Wombles, who take it upon themselves to litter pick and keep the area’s streets tidy, are calling on volunteers to help out at their tombola stall during the festival on Sunday, September 3.
The volunteer group have also asked for extra helpers to litter pick at St Chad’s Park on New Road, where the festival will be hosted, before and after the event.
Litter pickers will be needed from around 9am and after 5pm on Sunday (September 3).
The festival takes place from 12 noon until about 5pm.
