Shots fired outside Longbridge Police Station

SHOTS fired outside Longbridge Police Station has led to one man being arrested.

A man, in his 20s, has been remanded in custody on suspicion of assault and possession of an offensive weapon after the incident, which took place 9.30am yesterday (Thursday) on Bristol Road South.

Police became aware of a dispute between two men outside when what is believed to be shots were fired from an air weapon were heard.

Officers went outside to speak to the men but they had both left the area.




One man, in his 40s, was seen a short time later on Bristol Road South with a slash to the arm – he is currently awaiting surgery for his injuries.

The other man turned himself into the station at 10.30pm last night.
