FIREFIGHTERS extinguished a car fire on the southbound carriageway of the M5 in between Junction 4 (Bromsgrove) and Junction 5 (Droitwich).
The incident happened at 11.30am yesterday (Monday).
A Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said one crew from Bromsgrove and one from Droitwich were sent to the scene and the car was ‘well alight’ when they arrived.
Firefighters in breathing equipment used water jets to put out the blaze.
