LEUKAEMIA and Lymphoma Research has changed its name for the first time in 60 years.

Following the rebranding, the charity will now be called Bloodwise.

Nicole Harris, who has led the organisation in Bromsgrove since 1988, wants to reassure residents that it is still the same people, with the same aims, who are even more committed to finding a cure for blood cancers.

The charity researches 137 different types of blood cancers and the Bromsgrove branch has also recently celebrated a marvellous milestone – raising £900,000 for the cause.

Nicole said she is hoping they will be able to get to the million pound mark by the time the Bromsgrove branch is 30 years old.
