A CENTURY from Jayden Levitt steered league leaders Bromsgrove to an emphatic victory over Moseley at St Godwalds Park.
Levitt scored 109 as he almost single-handedly chased the 186 target set by the visitors, with Tom Green (32) and Tom Hill (23) provided great support.
Aadam Din top scored with 45 as the Birmingham side came up against a strong fielding performance, while Ash Newfield’s 4-39 also put the hosts in a strong position.
Bromsgrove lost opener Newfield, Lewis Cordes and Adam Jones, who put together just eight runs between them, but fortunately Levitt was in fine form with the ball as he saw his side home.
The seconds were again in the driving seat against Dorridge as Tom Russell led the way for the bowlers taking 3-26 to dismiss their opponents for 162.
Ben Johnson made his Birmingham League debut and took 2-28 in a typically miserly spell. George Cracknell made 60 and Dave Collins 38 as they rushed the team towards victory with skipper Mark Bilbrough unbeaten on 28 to secure the points.
Nick Husbands skippered the third team at Halesowen and took three wickets as the home team were skittled out for 102. Tom Downing also took three wickets.
After tea, Mike Bennison (59*) and Henry Dwyer (24) chased down the target to clinch 24 points.
Meanwhile, Bromsgrove’s fourths had a tougher game against visiting Bartestree who scored 123. Sam Johnson took another four wickets to take his tally to 13 for the season and Dougie Bridge notched up three.
John Duffy top scored with 31 as the Boars raced home in 24 overs.
