INSIDE VIEW - Robbie Bunn's Bromsgrove Sporting column

In the second of his weekly columns, Bromsgrove Sporting midfielder Robbie Bunn writes for the Standard and reflects on the club’s FA Cup defeat, league victory over Stourport and the Bank Holiday weekend.

THE FA Cup game against Coleshill Town brought a goal fest which unfortunately we were on the wrong side of.

Overall I thought we offered great threats going forward against a well-established side at this level but barring a world class goal from the centre midfielder, three defensive errors cost us a place in the next round.

As we crashed out of the FA Cup we turned our attentions back to league action where we saw the return of the joker of the group, Aaron Roberts.

With the departure of Wade Malley and Cowley still out of action, the boss (Paul Smith) had his work cut out to get us a striker that can hold the ball up and bring players into the game.

However,he didn’t disappoint with the introduction of two very good lads, Danico Johnson and Richard Gregory, both on loan from higher league clubs and who both performed brilliantly on the night and produced the goods in front of goal.

Three points, a much more solid defensive display and three good goals puts us in good stead going into the Bank Holiday weekend with another two big games in three days.
