Bromsgrove Sporting midfielder Robbie Bunn writes for The Standard in his weekly column and reflects on the results over the last three weeks and support from the fans, both home and away.
AFTER a very difficult and competitive run of games, the lads and the gaffer are more than happy with where we stand in relation to the league table and how many points we have tallied up at this early stage.
The gaffer had pointed out three strong opponents in Sporting Khalsa, Coventry United and also Lye Town, all of which we had to play over a period of a few weeks.
With three big performances and three very positive results, we believe we are where we need to be.
As mentioned previously we were disappointed against Khalsa to only come away with a point, especially after a very solid performance in the end.
But with that game as the exception, we have picked up crucial wins against the sides who are expected to be up at the business end of the table come May.
The lads are working hard in training to try and maintain this positive form we have at the minute so hopefully we can push on and be right in the mix at Christmas.
On behalf of all the lads I would just like to thank every one of our fans who have turned up and supported the lads this season, both home and away, as the support has been frightening with 700+ last weekend!
Having the fans behind us really does make the difference on game day and hopefully it will continue to grow throughout the season, starting with our long trip up to South Normanton on Saturday.
