DROITWICH FC have finished the season with two cups following their survival success in the Midland Combination One.
They beat Badsey Rangers 4-0 in the Evesham Hospital Cup at the end of April and then Earlier this month they beat Alvechurch Reserves 2-0 in the Worcestershire County Cup.
This followed them battling successfully to stay in the Midland Football Combination Division One.
The club have also appointed a new chairman Ben Pheasant who has
ben part of the club for more than 20 years. He takes over from Dave West who has been chairman for 15 years and stepped down at last week’s AGM. West’s contributions to the club over the years has been fantastic.
Just his general time and effort, secretarial duties, time and his own money has contributed massively.
The outlook is great we are staying at King Georges and will be sharing the clubhouse with Droitwich Hockey Club So we will have facilities on matchadays and special occasions.
The plan now is to keep the current squad together adn there will be a change of focus in reserve to development of youth move up to the first team.
On Friday, June 6 the club has organised a fundraising event a T20 match between a Droitwich Spa XI and Veteran XI and a barbecue at 6pm at Droitwich Cricket Club

It will be Nick’s last year with the club after 20 years as a great servant to the club.
