Bunn's Bromsgrove Sporting column

Bromsgrove Editorial 17th Aug, 2017 Updated: 17th Aug, 2017   0

In the first of a new weekly column, Bromsgrove Sporting midfielder Robbie Bunn writes for the Standard and takes us behind the scenes at the Victoria Ground.

IT HAS been a very positive start to the season for us with the two convincing away wins that we have managed to pick up both at Rocester and Quorn, with two powerful displays in front of our travelling fans.

However, despite the good start we have had, the boss maintains his stand as he always does; that we will keep our feet on the ground and keep doing the right things in order to get to where we need to be, come the business end of the season.

Obviously we know that after two games we haven’t achieved anything yet hence why the boss, Brendan (Kelly) and Andy (Mason) always keep training sessions at a high tempo and to a good standard.

The only negative and minor setback this week is that the decision has been made that Cowley needs time to rest an ongoing injury which is obviously going to have an impact on the squad, but hopefully the reintroduction of a good friend of many in the squad (Sean Brain) will be the boost we may need at the exciting end of the pitch.

Overall we are hopeful that we can keep this early momentum going and as we approach the next round of the FA Cup we know we will need to be on top of our games to overcome the challenge of a very strong Coleshill side.

Having said that, myself and the lads are confident that we have enough in our changing rooms to move on to the next round and bring our fans the success they deserve for the ever growing support they show us week in and week out, home and away.
