Bromsrove Rugby boss says wins will come soon

Bromsgrove Editorial 2nd Dec, 2016   0

BROMSGROVE Director of Rugby Dan Protherough believes his struggling side can climb up the table sooner rather than later.

The National Three South West side remained rooted at the bottom of the table after the club’s latest 55-29 loss to Bournemouth last weekend.

But Bromsgrove go again tomorrow (Saturday) when they will look to secure just their second win of the season when they entertain tenth placed Bracknell.

And speaking to the Standard, Protherough said his side are not worried about potential relegation just yet.

“We’re not worrying too much about the league position yet because we see each game as a real test of our ability,” he said.

“Although we’ve lost ten out of eleven games so far, we’ve taken bonus points off the top four sides in the league so we’ve just to keep plugging away and working hard.

“There are enough games left to play which we can get victories in. It is just a case of turning these unlucky defeats into wins.

“And if we can get two or three wins quickly then we will be right back in the pack.”
