BROMSGROVE School pupil Jordan Smith has been chosen to represent his country at the ICC World Cricket League.

The 18-year-old will represent Bermuda in Division Four of the event which takes place in Los Angeles, USA, from Friday to Saturday, November 5.

Jordan is the youngest player in the Bermuda squad and will come up against the likes of Denmark, Italy, Jersey, Oman and the USA.

The top two teams gain promotion to Division Three while the bottom two drop to Division Five.

Mr Dave Fallows, director of cricket, said: “Jordan is a true Bromsgrovian – a selfless, polite young man who has worked extremely hard over the last five years to improve his cricket skills.

“This recognition, with selection for his national team is a great reward.

“I wish Jordan well for the upcoming tournament and hope he contributes to Bermuda winning and gaining promotion.”
