Boars start new season

Bromsgrove Editorial 14th Aug, 2014 Updated: 17th Oct, 2016   0

BROMSGROVE RFC begins life under new leadership and with three pre-season friendlies scheduled.

The first is a tough home fixture verses Luctonians followed by Stratford & Worcester Wanderers.

Under the stewardship of Coach Dan Protherough training has been well attended with new players joining us and set to make their debuts.

The players have shown an excellent attitude and are working hard at developing a new style of play, with new fitness coach Greg Evans putting them through their paces.

Greg, a former Worcester and Coventry player, will also be playing for Bromsgrove once recovered from injury.

These games will give the coaches the chance to assess players in a competitive environment whilst enabling the players to try new ideas and methods.

Player confidence is high, and with other players set to return from injury, we are optimistic that next season will be successful.

The club remains committed to promoting rugby for all and run a total of four adult sides, plus a veterans’ team.

If any player wants to join us they are welcome to attend training on a Tuesday and Thursday at Finstall Park, and can contact Tom Warren at; [email protected].

Dates for friendlies:

Luctonians (H) Thursday, August 14 kick-off 7.30pm

Stratford (A) Friday, August 22 – kick-off TBC

Worcester Wanderers (H) Friday, August 29 – kick-off TBC
