WORCESTERSHIRE v MCC Young Cricketers in the ECB second XI Trophy Competition.
ON Friday, July 25th, the Club staged the County 2nd XI match versus the M.C.C. Young Cricketers in the ECB Trophy Competition and hosted a lunch for its sponsors, other members of the local business community and its vice presidents.
The County, fielding several 1st XI players and captained by Alexei Kervezee, who has played for the Club often during the last few seasons, batted first and reached 378-6, with Matt Pardoe scoring 137, Tom Fell 44, Alex Hepburn 51 and Alexei 26.
In reply the MCCYCs, despite the efforts of Arthurton ( 75 ) and Graham ( 51 ), fell short at 260 all out, so giving the County a comfortable 128 run victory.
