BARNT Green travelled to Knowle and Dorridge at the weekend and came away with a five-wicket victory and 20 points which keeps them in the running for the Birmingham and District League Premier Division title where they lie in third place.
Green won the toss and elected to bowl and got the home side out for 121 off 45.4 overs with Luke Radford the pick of the bowlers with 5 for 34 Tom Burton 2 for 10 and Simon Mugava 2 for 16 with the last wicket of Michael Bevan coming from a run out.
In reply the Cherry Hill Road outfit got 127 for five off just 27.3 overs with Tom Burton top scoring on 37.

Redditch had a terrible start with both opening batsmen out early on with Gregg Chinn getting a duck and Tom Field a paltry three runs. Jack Roberson steadied the ship with a solid 44 and Russell Southwick top scored with 73 with the Kingfishers’ final score standing at 153 for 6.
Green made quick work of reaching their target with William Baker getting the ball rolling hitting 77, Miles Garrett registering 18, Simon Mugava knocking 40 not out and Tom Brown notching 12 not out with 16 balls remaining.
