YOUNG people have the chance to showcase their skills at the Rubery’s Got Talent auditions from midday on August 13, writes Katie Bowen.
And those who perform best on the day will earn a slot on the main stage at this year’s Rubery Festival.
Organisers are urging young people to take part if they have a special talent that they can show off, including singing, dancing and playing an instrument.
Participants will be welcomed from all over the area, as the talent show offers three categories: under 12s, 12 to 16 and over 16.
The main festival itself will happen on September 3, St Chad’s Park on New Road from midday to 5pm.
The family and charity fun day will have free entry and will also offer an array of activities such as the main parade, food stalls, live entertainment, children’s rides and much more.
Anyone interested in getting involved with either the talent show or the festival should email Tony Maslen at [email protected] or call 0121 457 9308.
