AN OPEN day is being held to celebrate the moving of the Worcestershire Medal Service Ltd to Bromsgrove High Street.
The event is being held at the new premises – the building which used to house the town’s NatWest bank – between 1.30pm and 3pm on Monday, July 15.
It will give guests and staff members across the business the chance to mark the next point in the company’s history and to highlight and celebrate the High Street move.
The company was founded in 1988 to provide a cost-effective service for medals and medal mounting to serving and former members of HM Armed Forces.
The company built a reputation in providing quality at competitive prices as well as a quick response to customers’ requirements and grew to become one of the leaders in this field in a very short timescale.
Worcestershire Medal Service Ltd is now the leading UK manufacturer of orders, decorations and medals, the sole supplier to the UK Ministry of Defence (MoD) and the largest supplier to The Royal Household in the UK.
Always keen to improve, the company started to manufacture of its own medals and miniatures using a Birmingham based Company, established in 1910, and eventually became the firm’s largest customer.
A spokesperson for Worcestershire Medal Service Ltd said: “We are extremely proud that our team produced the current images of His Majesty King Charles III that will be used on all UK medals following his coronation.
“In recent years we have had the honour to produce the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Medal and King’s Coronation Medal.”
Speaking about the move, the spokesperson added: “We feel Bromsgrove High Street is a great move for the Worcestershire Medal Service, restoring the specialist businesses to the town.”
