A WOMAN has died after she was struck by a train at Barnt Green railway station this morning.
The incident happened at about 6.50am today (Thursday).
West Midlands Ambulance Service confirmed they sent a hazardous response vehicle, one ambulance and a paramedic support officer to the scene.
A spokesperson for the British Transport Police said: “We were called to Barnt Green Station at 6.55am this morning after a report that a woman had been struck by a train.
“The ambulance service attended but the woman sadly died at the scene.
“The death is not believed to be suspicious at this time.
“A file will be prepared for the coroner.
“The train involved was a Worcester to Birmingham New Street service.”
Delays and cancellations are still taking place but disruptions are expected to end by 12pm.
