West Mercia Police in plea for witnesses after woman seriously hurt in crash

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a woman pedestrian suffered potentially life threatening injuries following a car crash.

Police were called at around 10.20pm to the collision on the Alcester Road on Sunday, October 28.

The car, a black BMW 530 D SE, was travelling past the Packhorse Pub in the direction of the Maypole roundabout on the outskirts of Birmingham.

It is believed the car moved to the opposite lane and then back again when the collision occurred.




The pedestrian, a woman in her 60s was taken by ambulance to Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham.

The driver, a male aged 31, was arrested at the scene on suspicion of dangerous driving.


Three men believed to have been in the car left the scene and are currently being sought by police.

Investigating officers would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision or has information.
