THE MET Office has issued a weather warning for snow for Bromsgrove, Rubery and South Birmingham.

The flurries are forecast to start in the early hours of tomorrow morning (Friday) and continue for the whole day.

Temperatures will drop to 0°C and westerly winds will reach up to 15mph making it bitterly cold.

The yellow warning (very likely) for snow and ice will be in place from 12.05am on Friday through to 6pm on Saturday.

The heaviest snow is expected to fall in Rubery and South West Birmingham where it is expected to last throughout the day and could get up to 5cm, especially on the Lickey and Clent Hills.

Drivers are urged to take care on the roads and pedestrians on pavements and pathways as the ice could lead to the risk of falls.

The snow showers could continue overnight into Saturday with the possibility of wetter wintry showers on Sunday.
