Lorna Morris 12th Oct, 2017

RUBERY in Bloom is seeking volunteers to help plant flowers across the village.

The community group, which has been running for six years, need volunteers to help with the autumn planting and to ensure current flower boxes are being watered.

At a recent PACT meeting, chair Lorna Ockenden thanked those involved for their help.

She said: “We have had a great response to the flowers.

“Everyone has been so respectful, especially the young people of the village.

“We need volunteers to help keep it going, even in in the winter.

“It makes you proud to live in Rubery.”
