A VAN was stolen from a 51-year-old woman in Cofton Hackett as she got out to knock on the door of a house.

It happened on Thursday morning (June 25).

The woman, who is from Rednal, had been approached by a man when she was on Oakfield Drive in her silver Ford Transit Connect van.

Then, about 10.30am when she was in Ashmead Rise, the vehicle was taken.

She was knocking on the door of a house and had left her keys in the ignition.

When she turned around someone had got into the van and driven off.

Police now want any witnesses or anyone with any information to get in touch with them by calling 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

They also want to speak to the man who the woman met earlier in the day.

He was white, around 5ft 11ins tall and was carrying a JD bag over his shoulder.
