RESIDENTS are being urged to be on the lookout for a prisoner who has absconded from HMP Hewell.

Mustafa Farrah, 30, who was convicted in August 2016 for drug offences, went missing from the jail on Saturday after failing to attend a roll call.

He has links to Cardiff, London and Sheffield.

Farrah is black, around 6ft tall and of slim build with short black hair.

Insp Craig Harris said: “We have no information to suggest that Mustafa Farrah is a threat to the general public, however we are working closely with HMP Hewell and other agencies to ensure that he is returned to custody as soon as possible.”

Anyone who has seen Mustafa, recognises his description, or has has any information as to his whereabouts should call police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
