ARMED raiders escaped with a quantity of cash after robbing the Tesco Express in Marlbrook at knifepoint.

It happened just after 10pm last night when two men entered the store on Old Birmingham Road, demanding money from the till.

They then fled with the cash.

Both men were black, in their 20s, around 6ft tall, of medium build and wearing black shoes or trainers, black trousers and black gloves.

One of them wore a black hooded top zipped up at the front with the hood up and the other had a plain dark green hooded top with a black hood which was up. He was also wearing a baseball cap.

Det Insp Ed Slough from West Mercia Police said: “An investigation is under way and enquiries are ongoing to identify and locate those responsible.”

He urged any witnesses or anyone with any information to call police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
