A RUBERY couple are leaping from the sky to raise cash or St Basils charity and support those in need on June 29.

In an inspiring show of support for homeless young people across the West Midlands, Carolyn and Jake Lees are gearing up for a thrilling skydive to raise funds for St Basils.

The charity, does incredible work with youth aged 16-25 who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.

They said: “We have been given this fabulous opportunity to do a skydive on behalf of St Basils, a charity that does amazing work with homeless young people across the West Midlands.

“This is a charity that we are both extremely privileged and proud to support.”

The couple is reaching out to the community for donations to help fund the essential services St Basils provides.

“If you can donate anything at all, we would be most grateful.

“Literally, every penny counts in helping to provide not only a safe place to sleep and live for young people but also in providing access to training and employment opportunities.”

St Basils operates over 40 projects in the West Midlands area and provides more than 500 units of accommodation each night.

Their comprehensive approach includes a range of prevention and support services aimed at enabling young people to find and keep a home, grow their confidence, develop their skills, increase opportunities, and ultimately prevent homelessness.

A St Basils Fundraising Team spokesperson said: “A huge thank you to Carolyn and Jake who have chosen to help raise vital funds for St Basils.

“We’re so grateful to them for their contributions, which can help change a vulnerable young person’s life forever.”
