ROTARY Clubs in Worcestershire are backing a new star-studded event aiming to boost volunteering opportunities in local communities.
Volunteer Expo Online, taking place virtually on May 7 and 8, will connect individuals and organisations from across the UK.
It aims to help people find meaningful volunteering opportunities to suit their interests and time commitments, and looks to celebrate those who give back.
Headline speakers include award-winning broadcaster and adventurer, Ben Fogle and former heavyweight boxer and mental health campaigner Frank Bruno.
The event will feature more than 60 virtual exhibition stands, with visitors able to chat and meet with charities including Age UK, Dementia UK, Alzheimer’s Society, The Salvation Army, St John Ambulance and more.
Worcestershire Rotary Clubs spokesperson, Colin Winstone, said: “It’s a great chance to learn more about how you can help. I find volunteering hugely rewarding and fun on a personal level and would encourage people to join us.”
